Hi Ladislao Kertesz,
Tim Healy (timhealy10@gmail.com) invites you to participate in the Doodle poll 2019 RUMBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS.
Let's join George Mickiewicz and Tim Healy for an Old Boys get together in The Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
We have selected 10 possible days.
Please choose ALL DAYS THAT WORK FOR YOU.
We are trying to establish the best 3 day range for the "official reunion."
Anyone who wants to stay and lime longer is welcome ya'll...

Hi Don Goddard
Please forward this note to the oldboys who attended the St Pete’s reunion
Any other “learnings” from that get together will also be appreciated….thanks
Hi Guys
Its 6 months away, and we already face our first decision…..WHEN & $$$$$.
The area is very popular in the summer and availability of Airbnb options will begin to diminish quickly.
The first option found and offered by Tim earlier this week is no longer available.
Again, the general location will be in the Eastern Tennessee Smoky Mountains; in the general area between Knoxville to the west, Morristown to the Northeast and Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg to the Southcentral and base area of the Smokies.
Tim has found this new one today which is closer to his home….but it will probably not be available for long.
It requires a minimum of 2 nights for booking and is currently available for the whole week.
The cost would be $40/person/night assuming 10 folks will stay there.
Staying in other hotels/cabins/non Airbnb lodging will probably cost in the general range of $100-200/night
So, please provide your responses as appropriate to the 8 questions below.
---------------------------------------------
It is too early to make my respective commitment; let’s wait until __________ (MONTH) next year to plan and make the arrangements.
Airbnb….Are you willing to send a check to Tim for the appropriate amount ASAP? YES OR NO
In the St Pete’s reunion, the group gathered for 2 nights/3 days…..is this still OK? YES OR NO
If NO in 3 above; how many days______________?
Proposing that we arrive in area on Monday 1st July and depart on Wednesday 3rd July. YES OR NO
I am undecided at this point and will not commit until next year in  _________ (state month)
Sorry, but I will be unable to attend _________________ (regrets)
Any other issue that you would like to have addressed:
----------------------------------------------------------
Others that plan to stay longer in the area can make their respective arrangements accordingly.
All…please share this invite with other oldboys and classmates who might be interested in attending …… thanks
God bless,
George/Jorge/Yury/Shish (AB-MSB 1956 – 1962)

George:
All the guys who were in St. Petersburg are listed on your email.
There are only three important factors:
1) the when,
2) the where and
3) hotel costs and comfort.
You need throw a few dates out there for maximum 2 to3 days and get feedback.
The location should be nice and easy to get to.
I checked out the location of Gatlinburg TN and it is an easy 11 hour drive for me.
This is the same as the drive from my home to St. Pete.
Choose a comfortable hotel there with good price (around $150 max), with good food and where everyone can stay.
Let each person do their own reservation and pay their own tab.
In my opinion, those fancy villas won't work because you need them for a minimum 7days and they don't hold a whole lot of people.
Besides, not everyone brings their wives
Don Goddard.

Thanks, Don,
For your wise guidance.
Tim would like to host us at his home and a weekend works best for him to do that.
The weather needs to be on the warm/hot side as he also wants to take us on his lake.
At this point we are flexible on the dates and are open to y’alls inputs,
George.

Hi Don G.
I am a probable to attend the reunion, but it is a long way off and probably will not commit before the first of the year.
I agree with most of your suggestions.

Hi folks,
Following up on the success of the St Petes reunion in October, Tim Healy and yours truly are in discussion about holding the next one in the Smokey Mountains area of Tennessee during the week of 30th June, 2019.
Please pass this on to those who participated in Florida and to any other brothers in your mailing list.
Thanks.
We will call this reunion “The Rumble in the Mountains” in honour of the beloved mountains that we climbed and surrounded us for so many years.
George

Saludos.  Do you remember my good friend Mr. Pugh ?? Was he from Barbados or from Suriname ??
13-08-2017 Gyuris Attila: Do you mean John Pugh!
John Pugh was a red-haired kid, kind of pudgy, with lots of freckles who loved to sing campfire songs. He taught me a lot of them.  If I remember correctly he was from an Irish descent, and living in Barbados at the time. Apparently John Pugh has died a long time ago. I don't have any details, but Fr.Cuthbert told that to Jan Koenraadt  when visited him  in Holland,  back in 1981.
13-08-2017 Luongo Humberto: By the way , how is father Cuthbert ?? Does any body know ?? Iam absolutely sure
13-08-2017 Gyuris Attila: Humberto: you can go to the Facebook page: "Abbey School in later years". Lots of info and some pictures there about old boys : teachers/ priests and their status . Try asking there also.
13-08-2017 Zanelli Enrique: Gringos ,Take cover !!! 😂😂😂
13-08-2017 Zanelli Enrique: Attila, do you want me to remove the old nr and add the new one? It doesn't allow 2 nrs for the same contact....also, is that a US nr?
Gracias

This is a group of all whose learning experiences at Abbey School, either as Teachers, Staff or students have led them to love this place on the hills of Mount St. Benedict, building on memory after memory to develop into the persons we have become, the families that have been nurtured, the friendships that have lasted, the monks who have left their mark on us and our corner of the world that we live in.
