Money
has no value in Venezuela.
Are
the funds being collected used for buying food, medicine etc and then shipped
to Venezuela?
If
so..where is it being shipped from?
I am
sure at the reunion in a couple weeks we can pick up a collection, all we need
to know is how and who to send the monies to.
Note: The money is
being collected by the ASAA, and picked up and taken over to Venezuela by boat
to cross the small space separating Venezuela and Trinidad.

Thank
you very much posting and sharing, Kazim and Joe.
If
each alumnus would contribute just USA $5 or equivalent.....the ASAA would
probably have enough money to support our suffering brothers needs for 6
months.
Let’s
also keep in mind that the situation worsens for them every day.
Please
also consider Ladislao Kertesz personal
request for a small yearly donation that will help him to continue publishing
our Circulars.
Kazim Abasali and Berment-McDowald Joseph , please share in
a separate posting what is the amount needed every 6 months to support our Venezuelan
brothers and the current best manner to contribute our donation...Gracias.
At
this point the Mickiewicz family and friends Venezuela support team has
collected a total of US$840 during the last 6 months toward the November
delivery.
Please
help.

Boys Association.
Miguel Angel Luongo.
Dear brothers:
In
this very emotional note, which is kindness of Adolfo Aumaitre, the most
important thing I'd like to say, about the help we have been receiving from
you, is that those who are directly responsible for it, should be regarded by
all MSB Old Boys, as exceptional human beings, sensible persons, who have been
able to see other people's pains and needs, at the very time in which their help
was needed.
I
sincerely thank them all, one by one, hoping to meet them soon, personally, and
make them know, how deeply grateful we'll be forever.
I hope
to have the opportunity to help also, in the future, when time changes and
circumstances allow me to do so.
I must
also say that I'll always have them included in my prayers, asking God to bless
them, together with their families.
The
reason and importance of continuing with your kind help, if you decide to do
so, is very simple:
Our acquisition
capacity is very low, because of the high inflation we are suffering every day.
The
amount of money we use to buy anything today may be tripled next week.
Actually,
inflation rates in Venezuela cannot be properly calculated, because inflation is
too high and different at each region of the country.
In
short, we are having serious problems to buy food and medicines.
Thank
you very much in advance, for anything you may do, about our precarious
situation.
Best regards,
Miguel Angel Luongo.
Studied at MSB from 1966 to 1970

Santiago Robleda
Dear Brothers
My
brother Adolfo told us about your meeting in Miami.
Greeting
from an old boy who wishes to express my deepest gratitude for your help it is
imposible to express it in a few lines.
Thank
you again for not forgetting what The Abbey School has taught us. Charity .
Now
let me explain how is our real situation
The
government increased minimum wage from 2$ to 30$ a month ago and it is already
worth under 10$.
Prices
increase in hours every day.
You
can't find anything, no production, no cash, no medicine
We
must be at home early, most of the streets are dark and very dangerous.
I am
sure we will overcome this nightmare because I believe in GOD and I am sure He
will never leave us and I am sure you won't either.
Thank you again
Santiago Robleda
The
running exchange rate for greenbucks is Dolartoday plus 25%.

Dear brothers,
First
of all I would like to thank you for the help we have been receiving from you.
I must
tell I was gladly surprised when my friend Adolfo Aumaitre called me.
I was
surprised because is not usual that people give help without receiving
something back.
I
would like to thank you because people who are doing this help must be
exceptional human beings.
Your
help has been received by us at the worst moment in the history of our country.
Thousands
of business of all kinds has been forced to closed and that means that 30 or 40
per cent of the jobs were lost forcing people to survive doing almost anything
in the streets to help their families .
The
hyper inflation is out of control, prices of food and medicines change prices
almost every day .
In the
name of all our families we thank you and have no words to tell you how
grateful we are .
I am
looking forward to meet you all soon .
My
best wishes to all of you.
I
studied in our school from 1964 to 1970 .

Dear brothers,
Within
these few words, indeed, there aren't words with which we would like to express
the gratitude you all brothers in taking your time to extend your hands to many
of us by giving us the kindly help we have received from you showing at the
same time the brotherhood we lived as old students many years ago.
How
deeply and grateful we'll ever be,
You
will be part of our prayers to you all and your lovely family.
May
God bless you all at all time.
You
all my brothers are exceptional brothers.
May
God give you with the same and courage to continue helping not only us but all
of those in need....
Adolfo,
we'll never forget what you have done in behalf of our brothers without asking
any favors...showing your fraternity between MSB old Boys Association and us.
Thanks
and thanks again and may God bless you all...
