photos are great! Where were you? I have or had a photo of Paul in exactly the
same 'pose' ! Any more ?
-------------------------------------------------.
Hah,
Brian you are so right. I forgot about that brand. I quit about 15 years ago
from 3 packs of Camels a day.
-----------------------------------------------------.
7 JUNE
2014 MADE IT 9 YEARS NO SMOKING ….. (CIGARETTES THAT IS )….FROM 1 PACK/ DAY
---------------------------------------------------------.
Brian
now I understand why you only were smoking 1 pack a day because you were
smoking other roll ups in between.
------------------------------------------------------.
SMOKE
EM, IF YOU HAVE EM.

Going back a half a
century
I can remember Fr.
Peter, the Priest that was in the confessional most of the time, to be very
nice.
By the way, if my
memory serves me right, the confessional was not a booth but two chairs
separated by a screen??
I am expecting
Isaias Farcheg´s lines soon, he was one of the assiduous Mass goers, serving
the Priest during the Mass and then making sure the wine bottle was well
disposed off.

Dear Ladislao:
As I read your description of the daily mass we had to attend
during our time at Mount (1953-1958), I recall that mass didn't seem to bother
me too much.
What I didn't enjoy having to go to confession once a week and
invent sins.
This is no joke!
I recall one time when I was probably nine or ten years old, I
went to one of those weekly confessions and I began to speak with that lovely
Trini accent with which we spoke in those days; "Forgive me Fada for I
have sinned, it does be one week since me las confession but I cyant recall
anyting I did dat was bad".
The priest answers me. "Well son, let me try to help you out
and refresh your memory. Did you fight with anyone? Did you disobey anyone? Did
you take anything that did not belong to you and did you tell any lies? Now let
me hear you my son".
With such great prompting, I decided to come up with some
terrible sins. "Yes Fada now I does remember wat I did dat was very bad.
Two days ago I pelted Urbano wid one of Broder Joseph stale hops bread and he got
one ugly black eye. Yesterday I does stole some julie mangos dong de road and
brother Swa caught me and pulled me ear, and four days ago I disobeyed me fada
and me muda. But as far as I does recall I have not tole no lies."
What was my big surprise after I felt so good that I had told all
my sins, when all of a sudden he shouts at me through that little screen in his
perfect Dutch accent. "You are nothing but a big liar."
I replied trembling,"Why Fada does you tink so."
And again I heard this loud voice from behind the little screen.
"First of all I just saw Urbano and he doesn't have any black eye. Also,
brother Swa as you so disrespectfully call that lovely, smelly man, has taken
leave for the last two weeks and is not here. And finally your mother and
father don't live here at Mount."
All I could say was; "Ok Fada, you does be right
. For lying to you, instead of three Hail Marys I can say a whole rosary."
Quite upset by now, he finally said to me, "I make the rules
here, not you and you will say not one but two rosaries, and next week you had
better come back with some real sins and not such silly lies."
Well to make this long story short, from that day on and after
having to say two long rosaries, I became so scared of lying that I started
committing real sins.
The following week I truly pelted Urbano and as many Mount boys
as I could pelt with the hardest stale bread I could find.
Then I became the best mango thief at Mount and I ran so fast Swa
could never catch me. I even stole juicy and honey from dem behives.
Then I tried my best to disobey every rule at Mount.
All of this, in keeping with the good Fada's advice to bring real
sins to the confessional at not make up lies.
He was correct, and from then on for telling the truth and not
making up sins, I only got three Hail Mary's and no long rosaries.
The moral of this true story is that you must commit as many sins
as possible to keep our priests happy when you go to confession, but you must
never lie.
No, no, none of dat.
Well Ladislao, I'm quite sure that most Mount boys experienced
similar situations when going to weekly confessions.
If any of you deny this you does be lying because I can name many
mango tiefs and stale bread pelters like myself and you all know who you does
be.
I won't name anyone out of respect.
Please pass this on to our group to see how many will admit to
the TRUTH.
Best
regards to all.

Edgar: Winston, Lasislao, Azizul...let Frank expedite a detail of what was
delivered in order to have things clear.....
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: Hey Ladislao how u doing this is Aziz How things with u how u keeping
is there anything I can do Please do not hesitate and I am sure u have my
personal email if not it's azizulkenny@hotmail.com
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
Hi Aziz I have been reading all you write. Welcome to talk to
a gasified abbey boy
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: Yes I have been reading a lot so I understand
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
Joe. Let frank tell you on his procedure. He sent it to me and I agreed
as to the goods given to the recipients. I just wonder if you miss
understood him
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: My family in Trinidad house is overflowing with friends and family from
Venezuela so I am very aware of everything
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
Ok, hope this thing changes. The ones In power just cannot make progress
20-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: Edgar, This has nothing to do with what we did last year when Frank
visited but rather what Winston said he is doing/organising in a recent email.
Effectiveness is a collective effort not a burst of individualism. Did you guys
attend the Abbey School and were some of you scouts even Queen Scouts? Feeling
good is not the same as doing good. That should be feeling
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
We are just talking about food that TT guys sent over last year. And the
plans for another shipment
20-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: I don't see the need to. The issue is that Winston says that he is
organising something that doesn't need any involved accountability (which I
don't think is necessarily the most effective way) and that Frank and those
whom he is close to don't seem to know enough or anything at all about it.
Anyone can do whatever they want. If it is to be highly effective or
accountable it needs to be open and transparent, so that we can get the most
support. It is not necessary to inform everyone of who the recipients are: only
the organisers. We don't even need to be thanked. What is needed is if Ladislao
(for instance) would confirm need and delivery and assist in making the least
expensive shipping arrangements. Previously, we paid more than the goods cost
in air freight, which it may be possible to reduce and ship more. I can
only organise things if I have sufficient information and a proper request. The
committee will make its best effort when it is informed of individual needs on
a confidential basis and is assured of proper arrangements for shipping,
receiving and distribution. Anything else is individual efforts, which
nonetheless are not to be discouraged, in the absence of anything else. I am
very disappointed that we haven't received the required collaboration to do
more. If you talk to and make arrangements with individuals they will do the
best that they can.
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
Since I have been mentioned and have tried to help before Frank left for TT . I
feel that someone in TT should have made a list and have sent it to me.
This would have helped. Once the goods arrived at frank's. He sent me a list
and I told him to break it up proportionately to cover four recipient s.
That was my involvement. Now, the future could be different as mentioned
by Joe. The Maturin guys could again be served having a guy fly
over. This is a must for the medicine as it needs to be hand carried. The
guy in Maracaibo needs direct shipment.
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: Ladislao do u have any contact in NY or NJ
20-04-2017 Ladislao:
None In Miami I have a family member
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: Ok let me thing and I will get back to u I will have to make some calls
20-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: How can we make a list and confirm the needs of individuals in
Venezuela? It is for someone trustworthy in Venezuela to do that. Last time
because of the absence of a formal request and open information sharing I
didn't have a need that I could take to the committee, so a few of us took it
upon ourselves to get it done, even without accountability and only because of
the inability to plan better. The cost in planning organisation and execution
was several hours, possibly as much as 80 person hours, in addition to the cost
of the goods. Winston, says that he is organizing and some seem to be aware of
the arrangements already.
20-04-2017 Bodington
Roberto: This is for Ladislao from Skull. You don't have to worry about the guy
from mcbo; its own not easy. I'll be fine.
20-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: Ladislao can I have his number in Miami
20-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: To me, it is entirely inexplicable and inexcusable that we don't have
the information which we need to go forward as a committee - -information which
I asked for several times last year. I have speculated that there isn't really
a need and that all of our Venezuelan brothers really don't need the
association to help.
20-04-2017 20:04:05:
Mt Ramsahai Winston 99: Guys we were planning Fed ex. Box to individuals
directly ... The situation changed dramatically .... Understand Frank. Will
come fly to TT or I can fly over to Maturin and carry maximum load
20-04-2017 Ramsahai
Winston 99: Happy Birthday Ladislao Will communicate with Joe. GFaria, Jimmy.
Toddy, Ian, Mike and others Tommorow
20-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: There is no "we" as far as the ASAA is concerned. Everyone if
free to have their own individual effort. Ladislao, anytime that you request
assistance ( after you assess their individual needs and priority) from the
association, and share the information with us confidentiality, i'll take
it to the committee and deal with it as robustly an effectively as possible. I
am not going to pick out between several individuals (possibly, in dire
circumstances) to determine who I'll favour, without knowing individual
circumstances. It will be foolish of us to assume that everyone in Venezuela
circumstances are the same or that we can find enough resources to provide
everyone even with supplies that they don't need. Please collaborate with
us to find the best means of delivery. I have to say also that I don't
see any point in getting involved in any situation where there is going to be
duplication of effort. That is only if you are doing something and not
preventing things from getting done.
21-04-2017 Coscarart
Salvador: Joseph. How are you doing. Please if you have Frank Malaver phone #
Please send it to me. They are three brothers that attended the abbey school
the younger one is Jose we used to call him (Chente). Best wishes.
21-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: Salvador, I send you Frank's contact card a bit later.
21-04-2017 Coscarart
Salvador: Ok thank you much.
21-04-2017 Bodington
Roberto: I don't know who is Berment. But I think his insinuations are out of
line. As we say in spanish "cada ladron jusga por su condicion".
Please take me off your list. Tks.
21-04-2017 Kenny
Azizul: So it just came out in the news CITGO donated 500,000 to Trump
21-04-2017 Berment
Joseph: Let me help you Julios. I'll leave so you and idiots like you can stay
and have fun.
21-04-2017 Gomes
Ian: First of all Joe I will like you to reconsider your leaving. Secondly,
Julios, I do not think you are aware that Joe is instrumental in organising
shipments to Venezuelans in need. I understand Joe's points. Our association is
a small and in the next 20 years may be non existent as the school no longer
operates. The association also has listed funding of which Joe is a MAJOR
contributor. He has also been the Main driving force in rising funding for
shipments to Venezuela for those in need. As a previous member of the
association I wish to assure you that with his leaving the chat only those in
need will suffer. There are a number of old boys who can attest to this.
Once again I implore Joe to reconsider.
21-04-2017 Zanelli
Enrique: Ian, he already left
21-04-2017 Gomes
Ian: I sent it to him as well.
21-04-2017 Zanelli
Enrique: I can only add him back if he asks
21-04-2017 Gomes
Ian: I am chatting with him.
21-04-2017 Zanelli
Enrique: Ok... let me know... tell him no need to get upset
21-04-2017 Gomes
Ian: He is upset.
21-04-2017 Zanelli
Enrique: Misunderstanding on both ends
21-04-2017 Ibarra
Frank: Jajajajajaj...día de la secretaria
21-04-2017 Ramsahai
Winston 99: Guys I agree with Ian this is not the time for distraction, we all
are not perfect, Joe have Made significant contribution to the Alumni and will
be communicating with him. Let focus on Venezuela. Faria had pledged to
buy Frank airfare and we have donors to buy whatever he needs
21-04-2017 Zanelli
Enrique: I don't know whats the deal with all these old men acting like little
kids...
21-04-2017 Ramsahai
Winston 99: Available in TT, it's pre cooked sending with Frank
21-04-2017 Ramsahai

22-04-2017 Ladislao:
